Final exhibition of 11-th International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv
One of the biggest art events in the fall of 2019 was the 11th International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv, which lasted from October 5 to October 15. Artists from all over the world gathered in our city to work near the oven and the workshops of the only one art glass department in Ukraine.
The International Symposium of Blown Glass in Lviv is the longest running event in the world by glassmakers. 50 artists from 20 countries took part in the anniversary symposium. The work of glass artists began on October 5 at the Lviv National Academy of Arts (LNAA) at Lviv, Kubiyovych str., 38. The project was implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
"The symposiums have become a kind of catalyst for the emergence of contemporary art in the world arena of the concept of "Ukrainian author glass" and "Ukrainian art glass design". Today, from the perspective of more than a quarter-century history of holding symposiums in Lviv, we can say that this event became a "window into the world" for post-Soviet Ukrainian glassware, " says Mykhaylo Bokotey, Director of the Museum of Glass in Lviv, Head of the Glass Art Department.
The final of the symposium will be an exhibition of works by foreign participants and more than 50 Ukrainian artists at the National Museum in Lviv, which will open on Monday, October 14 at 5:00 pm.

The collection of collected compositions will complement the collections of the Museum of Glass in Lviv.
The exhibition will be open until November 4, 2019.
