"Retrospection. E-glass" exhibition

Within the framework of the 11th International Blown Glass Symposium in Lviv a retrospection exhibition of artworks created during the European symposiums "Eko-Glass" will be presented in Gallery PM (Lviv, Kopernyka str., 17). The exhibited works are the result of the work of Polish and Czech glass artists during the artistic plein air and symposium entitled "E-Glass. Cultural Gold of Lower Silesia". Professional artists, students and glass blowers worked together to create artistic objects in the midst of the tourist season in the mountains of Poland and the Czech Republic: in the forest blown glass studio "Szklarska Poreba", the gorgeous crystal glass studio "Julia" in Piechowice, the tourist station "Orly" in Jakuszyce and "Martin Stefanek" glass studio in Desna (Czech Republic).

The idea of organizing of the symposiums in these areas was born in 2008. The glass was manufacturing on the lands of Karkonosze during hundreds of years, starting from the XIII-XIV centuries. Today on these lands in the Czech territory there are such powerful glass centers as Jablonec nad Nisou, Pelekhov, Desna, the school of glass blowing in Zhelezny Brod.
